Be it future-proofing its industry or introducing new policies, Thailand’s economy management is centered on motivating foreign direct investment while focusing on some major industries. Apparently, the goal is to nurture a business ecosystem, which boosts emerging technology, innovation, coupled with creativity.

Simultaneously, the Board of Investment has welcomed Skill, Technology and Innovation (STI) Policy for a cross-sector tactic to improve the skills of the Thai workforce within while also enhancing the nation’s technological superiority. The same policy is envisioned for multiplying the global competitiveness of the industries and helping to become a knowledge-based economy. To cut it short, it is basically a part of Thailand government’s effort to highlight the nation’s presence in the High Tech Industry globally.

Needless to say, the country has done extremely good in manufacturing original equipment. With that in mind, the nation aims further to raise the level by manufacturing and exporting higher value and quality products.

And when talking about innovation how can we leave Thailand’s robotics industry. Considering its growth over the years, this is an obvious choice for many investors. According to the latest International Labor Organization report, almost 60% of the top tier ASEAN automakers are choosing automation. The Thai government is offering more incentives to attract robotic firms in a motif to build jobs in manufacturing, designing, and servicing.

Board of Investment with the Thai government released a statement focusing on expanding technology industry that includes development and innovation, and science. Let’s have a look at the industries that are promoted by BOI;
